Aside from putting her to sleep over about 45 mins of intense bed time reading about querns, it’s a fascinating dive. This meta-analysis is one of the reasons why I challenged Elle’s narrative that patriarchy swept down from the hills via warlike tribes. I think Elle oversimplified a complicated historical place and disregarded sets of contradictory evidence to suit her argument. :o)
