I’m genuinely intrigued how you believe that your subjective viewpoint on the matter carries any more weight than Alyssa Milano? Isn’t that the problem with the #MeToo movement. It isn’t a movement. It’s a selection of people who started off in a clear direction on a moral crusade but find themselves pulled into a series of contradictory directions by the complexity of society and the sociological universe.
I’m not saying that you’re right or wrong, your article is convincing and makes very valid points. What I’m saying is that points made by other people are also objectively valid — and the wider community looking at the #MeToo movement has no way of distinguishing them from each other. It is utterly subjective and based on the personal circumstances and opinions of each individual. You’re all just shouting at each other and as a result, the wider push of this iteration of feminism has stalled.
