I'm glad that you enjoyed this piece, there's plenty of good writing on Medium, though we currently are going through a 'white noise' phase. This happens when there's an influx of new writers - they have plenty of energy to write but haven't quite worked out which direction to point at yet. Cue 50 articles about writing on Medium by people who haven't written much on Medium, plus endless analysis of what works and how much money they're making. If you can cut through it (and the algorithm makes it hard) then you'll find the gems.
