I'm going to kick back a bit - because why wouldn't I? That's my literal job on Medium. I'm British, so I don't get a vote and I'm certainly no Trump supporter - but isn't Trump a symptom rather than a disease? Isn't Trump what you get when you run unfettered capitalism and warfare - as perpetuated by all/most of the other Presidents before him? Isn't Trump the necessary self-interested backlash to the political failure of others to implement minimum wage, health protection, decent mental health care and other soft-socialisms. It may sound like a hit piece on Trump - and you'll get a lot of support from most people for that. He's low hanging fruit because he's a sociopathic narcissistic blow-hard BUT, he's also a sociopathic narcissistic blowhard with around 50% of 390 million people behind him.

Imagine writing a hit piece on your rotting foot because you didn't moderate your diabetes. Isn't it just easier to pretend your right foot did it rather than addressing the addictive sugar highs that are underlying it.
