I'm going to write an article about it soon - it's the intutive part of the brain which runs a negative heuristic and treats disagreement as a threat - followed by confirmation bias thinking. Everyone does it - its the way brains are programmed.

But hilariously I did get accused of being a white supremacist and a black-panther calling for a race war on the same day and as a result of reading the same article. That's how you know you're in the centre ground, everyone hates you :o)
