I’m not a fan of Trump nor of his particular brand of rhetoric. However, Medium spent the last year being an echo chamber for left leaning contributors and professional journalists to write pretty much whatever they wanted, paid for us by the rest of us.

Medium is now curating a wider range of voices and I think the place would benefit from Trump supporters. If only to spark debate. If everybody always agrees with you, you aren’t in a pluralistic society – you’re in a digital support group and you’ll constantly be surprised by events in the real world.

I don’t think Medium needed Trump and I don’t think his articles would be very good but Medium is definitely short on right wing voices – and it should be a platform for everyone.
