I'm not debating right to life - as I said, I'm pro-choice - but that's not true everywhere. It's not true in predominantly catholic countries and it's not true in those red states you've talked about. I think that's abominable, but then I don't have a vote in those red states. I presume the people who live there do have a vote - and will vote against it. If they don't then they haven't got a democratic mandate. I would advise all women to leave those states - and I would advise Blue states to welcome them in, pay for housing and pay for all the relevant care. I'm afraid when it comes to a philosophical argument about when life begins, there aren't any winners - there are only laws and principles and once the Red states shifted the decision to the states level - there needed to be some serious campaigning going on within those states - or some serious thought about how to help people relocate to Blue states. Democracy is about voting and the people have voted on it. They may not have voted how you wanted - but they still voted.
