I'm not mad that's happening, I think it's great it's happening - I'm totally on board with men having babies, doesn't worry me in the slightest. And... given that the man in question went to a hospital and had a baby safely delivered rather than being turned away in disgust... I'd argue it didn't seem to worry the staff too much either. The question isn't really about discrimination, it's about having the world respond the way you'd like your reality described.

In this instance, this man didn't want to be called 'mother' or 'she'... that's fair enough, but everyone was a little bit busy pulling a baby out of him to care. He can demand the status quo isn't good enough for him if he likes - but when someone chooses to have a baby fire itself out of their vagina the word 'mother' is likely the most applicable. The fight for equal treatment should be about access to medical help, not about having the medical help tie itself into knots about your linguistic choices.
