I'm outside of the US and I'm currently with Dave on this one. Harris is currently being carefully managed and backed by the entire Democratic machine. Trump is a wildcard his people cannot control, Harris is currently on brand - but it won't take long after the election (which I think she'll win) for the wheels to come off and for the infighting to start. Let's remember that when she ran against Biden she tanked her own campaign, she frequently swapped tactics and was pretty much sidelined as a VP, whether because of interpersonal issues or because of competence we cannot determine... but if she wins (and once again, i think she will) those issues will become evident. I think she's a placeholder President for both parties to rethink their strategies ahead of 2028.
