I'm politically left wing and I'm not down on Joe Rogan at all - I'm not even as down on Jordan Peterson as Joe Duncan seems to be. I would consider most of the intelligent discussion on any topic to be coming out of the centre ground. That is, people who make up their mind on an issue by issue basis, and who haven't sworn allegiance to some magical creed. Joe Rogan fits into this fairly neatly. I don't agree with everything he says, nor do I agree with everything Jordan Peterson says, but they aren't right-wing bigots by any stretch of the imagination. Anyone encouraging intelligent discourse and dissent is fine as far as I'm concerned... I might be more politically aligned to some but that's neither here nor there - they're modelling long-form critical debate, something eroded by years and years of mindless television and mass media.
