I'm pretty sure that's what most people think. I'd hope my regular readers know me well enough to know that I don't hold those views and wouldn't write such a thing - it's a complicated trap writers on Medium have fallen into. Such views are heavily endorsed by a vocal minority and the silence of the wider population allows continual profligation of what is essentially racially biased hate speech.

It's far more shocking when you invert it - because it feels like you've gone back to the 1950s. I remain unconvinced that identity politics won't push us back that way.
