There's been a worrying lack of blowback on this piece. Only one angry reader - which is fine. I don't think I'm losing my edge, I think the algorithm is getting better at showing people stuff they already agee with. I have noticed if I read a certain position, then I tend to get bombarded with more of the same by similar writers.

I think that's dangerous. I don't want Medium to become an online form of split media. I might have to start writing joint articles with open minded people in different Medium circles.
