I'm with you - I once had an actor tell me in great detail exactly what I must've been thinking and considering when I wrote some of the lines for the character she was playing. I simply shrugged and declined to comment and she was happy with that - the reality was I'd hurried through that entire section because a) I was hungry and b) I was on a deadline and it was 11pm. She had enjoyed the painstaking analysis of each line, she'd loved going through everything and looking for evidence to support her theories - perhaps there was something there, but I didn't do it consciously and I didn't do it out of any great desire to be deep with her character, I just needed a biscuit and a rest. :o)
