In the spirit of Medium discussion and disagreement, and mostly because I thoroughly enjoy your work and a good debate — I’d like to point out the word ‘just’ in this sentence. She is a teenage girl, but as someone who has worked with disenfranchised children in the care system for the last fifteen years, the word ‘just’ is the one that resonates most strongly.
