Including a young Penguin - Pratchett is a huge influence in my writing style and indeed my world view. I cried when I heard he'd died, not because I knew him and I grieved for him as a person- but because I knew the Discworld and it's characters would become static and unchanging from that point on. I grew up with them. I knew them, I fell in love with the world - and now they remain as static as B'hrian Bloodaxe and the Diamond King at the Battle of Koom Valley.
