Indeed. Nothing wrong with defending yourself - I do it all the time. Love a bit of back and forth, built my Medium reputation on being able to navigate those choppy waters. Slightly problematic to ask me to tag you into stories, then throw a wobbly when you are - but, meh. Life is too short.

I will leave you out of it from now on.

Tis funny, what I hear from my readers is that my discussions are interesting and accessible too. I write my thoughts as I move through them in what I hope is a funny and entertaining way. I try to hit the centre ground most of the time. Stylistics aside - I think there's a place for all kinds of writing on Medium and I've made peace with that.

If you want to dismiss my writing as populist and straw-grabbing then that is fine. In return, I would suggest yours maintains a strong echo-chamber of readers who don't dare question your credentials and wade in with support and claps for things they haven't really understood or pulled apart any further than 'Elle said it, therefore it must be true'.

How fortunate for both of us Medium has all kinds of readers. :o)
