Intermittent fasting does get easier, I did it for about sixth months. I stopped eating at 6pm and started again at 10am or 12pm the next day. The first week I was convinced I was going to die – but you adapt and a lot of your hunger turns out to be habitual. Plus if you ignore it and ride the emergency ‘you’re going to die’ firing off in your cortex, it goes away. I did a 24 hour fast, no food, plenty of waves of hunger. Went to bed and was surprised when I woke up absolutely fine and not hungry in the slightest. It changed my relationship with food completely. I was doing it for the weightloss and gut rest – I’m still doing it on and off, but always feel great when I do it for a week or so :o)
