Isn’t it a nuanced thing? What you have is an older human in a position of power over a younger one, and they begin dating during this power dynamic. It’s not a married or established couple who chose to subsequently work together. You either want to scrutinise and ask questions when this sort of relationship happens or you don’t. Personally, I don’t. They’re both consenting adults, and when you get into the murky and ill defined world of ‘power dynamics’ – you get bogged down very quickly into a subjectivity shit show.
