It could’ve been. I think Trump was trying to stick it to the libs. It’s an interesting facet of politics that liberal left-leaning groups are often behind the conservatives at getting women front and centre. Here in the U.K. the Tories have had 3 prime ministers (Thatcher, May & Truss) and the Labour Party have never elected a female leader, let alone got her to PM. The conservatives have also managed the UK’s first non white PM (Sunak) though the Labour Party did get the first Black leader of a country (Gethin - Welsh first minister) but he didn’t last for very long.
