It does. Here in the UK we have a very stratified class system and 'white trash' cannot be mitigated against by having money. It doesn't work. Sure, you might be wealthy but you're still displaying your class traits with the wealth you have amassed. As an example we have the model Jordan and TV personality Gemma Collins and Joey Essex all independently wealthy and all considered to be 'trashy'.

The idea that money can get you out of class judgment may be an American thing. I'm pretty sure I've referred to Trump as white trash in the past. Or at least, Orange Trash.
