It is one of the reasons I am a penguin. I don’t want my personhood being used to support or denigrate my writing. I have noted there are certain profile pictures when combined with the right style of writing will generate more interest - and I’d argue there’s at least a few writers on the site that rely on some aspect of their physicality to get interest.

I think in the future all jobs should be interviewed by software designed to find the best candidate match. Human judgment should be removed. I’m sick of nepokids in the workplace, I’m frustrated at young people who look good on paper, interview well but last twelve seconds then go off with anxiety and on expensive sick leave.

And sport would be more interesting if the rules were tweaked in favour of the genetic median. A basketball hoop that varies in height every 30 seconds. Horse racing that meant every horse carries a default identical weight relative to their size. Even gymnastics where the forward roll I can do counts for something.

As for hot women let them flaunt it…. There’s a killing to be made on Instagram at the moment - but don’t play the game this way and then complain about how women are judged by their looks all the time and this is patriarchy and awful. It’s exhausting for those of us who opted out.
