It is the word 'personality' that I see as most important in this analysis.... because ideology, culture, socioeconomics, class and life experience factor into this. I think personality is far more dependent on individuality and individual thinking than the factors that go into it.
The Penguin arrived as a result of a social narrative being formed where it was decided that unless you were part of X group or could demonstrate relevant credentials your entire world view could be dismissed. I saw (and still see that) as disingenuous and bad for democracy and have been a Penguin ever since. It isn't impossible to work out who I am, a fair few people have chosen to do exactly this, but most cannot be bothered with the very small hurdle.
And it's interesting when identity obsessed people debate, they pre-decide who I am and then attack that person. When I don't acknowledge one way or the other, they conclude they are right and that everything about me confirms their assertion. I don't mind this, because it does at least allow other readers to perceive the bias in action.
So far, according to various levels of interpretation, I've been a racist guy from the Southern States, an active member of BLM, a second generation Asian, a middle aged lesbian and the classic British guy WASP you've outlined. As always, I'll just carry on being a Penguin. :o)
