It may do. It may not do. That's the point. I'd argue being an ally requires a commitment to building a society which does not consider race or sex as either a help or a hindrance in any facet of life. Nobody should be using any section of personal identity to either progress or hold back anyone else and we should be seeking methodologies to reduce BOTH inherently-racist policies and DEI initiatives because they both centre melanin as being important in places where it isn't.
I'm also not sure Majority Action are the right people to conduct a survey of workers, it could be suggested they have a vested interest in discovering an ongoing need for DEI and promoting a racial audit - which they would no doubt supply.
