It’s a fundamental part of how these two people relate and how she views the world. Understanding how people with personality disorders engage with the world and their emotional vulnerability, means that you can extend compassion without having to take sides. This whole thing has been a non-compassionate mess, first for him… and now for her. I have genuine concerns that she may need a serious psychological intervention or attempt suicide.

Even if there’s irrefutable proof she beat Johnny Depp every evening with a giant stick, forcing her to see that will cause a psychological collapse. This is a very vulnerable woman - and those responsible for penning the op-ed with the ACLU and the Washington Post should be ashamed of themselves for not doing due diligence on this one. I don’t think Depp wanted this in the spotlight, I think he wanted to walk away when they divorced- but the op-ed and subsequent public reaction in the court of public opinion left him zero choice but to have it all out.

It’s a mess. A real mess.
