It's a good point - I suppose I would also recommend the writer who is reductive about gender as someone to read too. The difference is perhaps that Marley doesn't block opposition to her views -she fights it and that leaves the possibility of right to reply. It'll come as no surprise that I find Steve QJ a much more balanced writer and Jeannette C Espinoza's rhetoric is much more inclusive and welcoming, but Medium is a place for all voices.

I hope, as time goes on, and more people move out of the Medium lefty-love-in that Marley's views are challenged more widely. She did make a flouncy announcement that she was leaving - indicative perhaps of the fact that Medium is no longer curating rage pieces from the left. I have seen my articles spread far more widely than they have ever been before and Steve QJ's recent rise to Medium greatness was a welcome change from the same old tired narratives.

You'll sometimes find me in Marley's comments trying to add a note of reasoned debate into the mix. Usually failing and she's far too prolific for me to keep up and to read her pieces. At least she will engage unlike Ezinne Ukoha. Marley often misses the point, but I think that's her stylistic choice. There are plenty of people who stand to make a lot from monetised outrage around gender and race, particlarly now since the Trump ship sailed.

Like the productivity gurus before them (2016-2018), the era of perpetual outrage is fast coming to an end (2017 - 2022) - and I'm totally down for that happening. Let these coming years be the Medium enlightenment. *cue Gregorian chant*

Thanks for your comment and sorry for the delay. :o)
