I've directed a few restoration comedies in my time - and I can assure you, they are funnier than The Sun. I hadn't really thought of the UK as diverging from the US on the grounds of what to do with your Puritans. We put ours on the Mayflower and booted them out of Southampton and Plymouth... the rest we executed to bring back the monarchy as a constitution. Meanwhile you guys had the sons/grandsons of the same Puritans write the constitution - a document which has acted like a fairly inflexible royal over the years. Its an interesting thought. :o)
