I've listened to a number of therapists stories of encounters with narcissistic cluster B patients, and they generally co-work such cases, because it's incredibly easy to feel like you're making a connection and making progress when in fact you've been co-opted into an alternate mindset and way of working. It's very interesting to hear experienced therapists talk about how they'll sometimes turn down someone who has been 'failed by every other therapist they know' even though that person is very convincing that they are 'the best therapist and things will be different'.

Judges do not have the psychological training of therapists. I can imagine it happens a lot more often than we think. :o/
