Just Penguin, there's no gender here. I have pissed off many people in my time here - it's one of the pitfalls of being argumentative by nature.

I think you're possibly right - with the caveat that I think many men have the equivalent getting their shit together (as a product of getting older) and perhaps opt for dogs. There are plenty of men I know who have divorced and settled down with a loyal canine companion. They aren't dependent on women either.

The problem seems to be with the youth. Young men and young women seem both interested in, and utterly repulsed by, each other. :o)
