Just thought I'd better rock in here and say well done - this is a very well written piece and I enjoyed it immensely. You seem relatively new to Medium, so welcome to the site and hopefully me popping here and writing will give this story a bump it deserves. It's a great place to write, remember to drive people to your stories using strong titles, subtitles and dynamic images and I reckon you'll go pretty far on the site.
