Justice has been served, but the tricky thing about justice is that it must be fair, impartial and legal. When someone in a political office is stupid enough to comment on a case before the jury is sequestered then there are grounds for a mistrial. By all means call for confrontation and taking to the streets - but don't do it as a specific response to a specific legal case that is ongoing. That was her mistake.

This has nothing to do with white supremacy and everything to do with political stupidity. The fact that Maxine Waters is BIPOC is neither here nor there. Her words were always going to be twisted and distorted and used against her by a skilled defence lawyer - if she didn't know that, she shouldn't be in public office because she's a liability to her own side and progress.
