Late to the party - but yes I do agree with Jim. I like his logic and it makes sense if extrapolated over time. If you believe there is something inherently wrong with white people that cannot be reduced or resolved because of the colour of their skin, this would be a form of racial prejudice. If world politics were to shift (Chinese superpower etc) then this belief would carry the weight of racism according to most definitions (possibly yours) that require an imbalance of power.

Also. I don't hold with the Catholic idea of original sin. Is a white baby guilty of racism before it can form thoughts? No. Will it develop a natural bias towards in-group/out group thinking. Yes. Will that manifest as racism? Not necessarily - it depends on what the child experiences as it grows into adulthood. I don't ascribe the guilt of racism to newborns and I can't see why anyone would think this is a good way of ensuring a healthy functioning adult.
