Life is indeed very complicated and inconsistent but there's a difference between arguing for something and having that argument. I am against having private (paid for) education provision - but that doesn't mean I go and shout at the children in year 9. It's a complicated systemic issue which needs discussing separately from individual situations. If the Ukrainian girls ever asked me what I think, I would tell them but that's different from harassing already stressed people like a political harpy
I didn't say woman SHOULD be drafted. I said there should be parity in the drafting process. Either everyone should be drafted or nobody should be drafted. If you must create a system where some people should be drafted then that should be done on a different basis than genitalia alone. Perhaps skillset, perhaps whichever is least required to parent. You seem to think I'm pro-conscription and I'm not. I'm merely pointing out a drive towards fairness and equality (as feminism is supposed to be) must include both positives and negatives alike.
John Rollarson did write a very insightful comment on my wall - and I have replied. I think his argument is sound but I've questioned some of the underlying assumptions - such as, wars are always done for the benevolent protection of innocents and that women are not as good as men on the modern battlefield. :o)
