Luckily for you I am not a woman or a man. I am a Penguin. I have had a look at your stories and thought I should comment on this one and tell you what I think. Everything everyone does can be easily misread - and we don't have the power to know what other people think. We shouldn't really try to work it out either - this is called 'mind reading' and humans are very bad at it.

I have a very good friend, he is autistic and we often write together. He tells me things upfront. He will say things like 'if you are hungry, if you are thirsty, if I am talking too fast, if you want me to leave, then you'll just have to tell me.... because I can't read any of your non-verbal cues because of my autism'. This is great. It lets me know that I have to do some of the work when we have conversations - so just tell people.

I do not have FASD nor do I have autism... but I do have a mild form of face blindness. I find it difficult to recognise people even if I've met them many different times. I used to worry a lot about whether people would think I was rude until I just started telling people. I once walked past my partner three times even though we'd been dating for five years. They had changed their hair and got a new coat. Now when I go to meetings, people wave at me and I just tell everyone. It makes life so much easier.

So i would say, do what you're doing on Medium Human women are very similar to human men. All humans are the same to Penguins and most people are nice people and will help you read their cues, particularly if you tell them upfront.

Great stories btw, very enjoyable. :o)
