Most people in Nazi Germany didn’t ‘agree’ with the murders of their fellow countrymen… they simply didn’t disagree. They provided tacit consent because they feared the consequences of dissenting. Get enough people afraid of the consequences of not being ‘good’ they will either silently endorse murder or turn a wilfully blind eye. Being ‘good’ can mean whatever you want it to mean if you wield enough power. :o)
