My credentials (if such a thing is needed to be a writer and to have an opinion) are a decade in social work.

I wasn't offended by what someone wrote... I thought they were wrong, and I thought the logic was flawed. I still do. I'm not offended by arguments people make about how the world should be. But also, I've tried to demonstrate why I think they're wrong, and why I think their methodology will ultimately end up being a bad thing for people of colour.

I also rarely block people - and certainly not for having an opinion. Social media is an excellent place for people to come together and discuss things and disagree about issues. Here's an example of this in operation. https://medium.com/lucid-nightmare/the-penguin-vs-jeanette-c-espinoza-935fca9a7c5.

There are people who won't engage or discuss their ideas, either because they're set to preach or they're not used to being challenged and retain an emotional immaturity and a trigger happy approach to the block button. I'm not one of those people. You can see such an interaction between myself and one of those block happy people here. https://medium.com/lucid-nightmare/whack-a-woke-james-finn-special-86d6cb79aa11
