My implication is that the stated aim of feminism, ie a move towards equity between the sexes has been subverted. There will be no such messages coming out of woke af feminism because that brand is very happy to chat to itself in echo chambers and slide into perpetual eye rolling about ‘men’ and high fiving each other as more and more is uncovered to be a problem with the patriarchy.

Feminism as you have made abundantly clear with more than a soupçon of patronising has nothing to offer men. Because it has nothing to offer men, it isn’t feminism - feminism is the push towards gender equity and fairness. The reason I get to decide that is because that is the actual definition. And yes, feminists (probably male ones) should have been making in roads with young men - but you haven’t seemingly conceived the notion that maybe men might be feminists. It’s seemingly just a matter of genitals in your binary world

What you are doing is, on a good day a form of female empowerment, which whilst laudable, only addresses one half of the global population. When you cover it with misandry sauce tho, it ceases to be what it set out to be. It engenders a backlash in the same way the ‘bros’ do too - they aren’t feminists either. You’re two sides of the same coin, only your half is utterly convinced of its own goodness.

So I shall continue to be a gender egalitarian and watch with mounting alarm as women and men in their echo chambers decide to go their own way. Had some effort been made to walk out of these echo chambers two years ago, when I wrote about the lure of faux feminist demagoguery, had male and female feminists actually attempted to have a dialogue instead of being set to preach to the converted in the echo chambers (read the comments on the OP post to see what that looks like), you may not have lost the young bro vote to a more pernicious and toxic Orange demagogue.

But you did. So what’s the plan now? 4B and gender war? Double down into what? If you’re at the point where you don’t see a genuine feminist movement involving men, and your solution is to let the bros run wild, you might just be part of the problem.
