My knowledge of the American civil war is patchy at best, so this was an excellent article for me to read. I often forget to follow up on the General Presidents like Grant and Eisenhower, forgetting that the job of President is different from what they did in their respective wars. I wonder if the US will have another general President my lifetime. You seem overdue.
