Nailed it. The difference between liberals and faux-liberals is most easily seen in how they tolerate differences from their own world view. For liberals, it’s a sort of passive curiosity. I don’t know why people want to own guns and commune with Jeebus, but provided they don’t attempt to take control of the Government, I don’t really care. They can be homophobic, transphobic and racist as long as they can keep it in check. The opposite applies, you can be 84 genders, you can smoke all the drugs you want and you can believe in vegan-crystals and woo-woo - just don’t hurt anyone or try and take control of the Government.

Ultra-Conservatives and faux liberals are committed to the eradication of each other. They both have an authoritarian mindset…. And this article does a great job of demonstrating this in action. My way or the highway, do not question my values. Intolerance in the guise of tolerance…. We accept everyone, apart from those who disagree with us, those people are subhuman.
