New Years Eve is always spent with the Significant Other Penguin - we had our first kiss that day 11 years ago and in the absence of being any good at dates and being entirely opposed to marriage, we treat it as an informal anniversary. It works for us, we've done big crowds, we've done it on our own, we've done small gatherings of friends - I don't really care as long as I am with them. :o)
