No. Not particularly. If you read the comments you'll see that I'm broadly in favour of rehabilitation and discussion for paedophiles, child protection being the primary concern and ultimate end goal. Anything that makes things safer would be good - so dignity and respect all round.

The argument I'm making is 'if you're prepared to argue for niche interest groups at any cost' - then you've got to stand up and argue for paedophiles too. There will no doubt be some liberals who've done the requisite thinking required to come to the conclusion that it's a conversation worth having - but often the most woke are those who just enjoy wearing their shiny badge of 'I'm the good guy' and who would be outraged at having paedophiles included.

Those are the people this article is aimed at. The unthinking woke, rather than classic liberals. It's about how they manage the internal conflict rather than generally demanding violent action against any one group. And yeah, you're right - it's ad absurdum - but it gets people talking and thinking about the difference between a tolerant society and a tolerant society foisted upon everyone by contradictory philsophically messy progressives.

Thanks for your comment. :o)
