No problem - and kudos on creating original artwork, I haven't got anything like the patience for that sort of thing. Not enough patience or enough imagination. If it helps, I do title, subtitle, image underneath. That seems to be the format Medium likes us to use - but I had to mess around a bit to get it looking the way I want it to look.

Alas, good ideas don't come with an instruction manual at all - but human brains generally do. That's why I've found psychology to be quite useful - and understanding how people like to consume ideas helps me write the things I'd like to say. If you're into film I highly recommend Simon Dillon, he's a proper cinephile and makes me feel like an amateur - because I just like films.

Your English professor sounds like a dick, that sort of thing stays with people - and you can safely ignore him. Writing is simply the sharing of ideas with squiggles. It sounds like you might be a visual person, so instead of writing articles, think about painting pictures in other people's heads. Then string those pictures together and see what it does.

I love language - and that's really all writers need. Love the language and after many years of adoration, it will bend to your will. :o)
