No. We must prioritise the economic concerns of poor people. BIPOC people are about 10 x more likely to be in poverty (because racism) but there are 10 x more white people in poverty. The left should be putting together a message about the thing that unites them (Poverty) not the thing that divides them (skin colour).

It is mostly middle class people who are doing the latter, because they have the time, space, internet connection and ability to put their words out there. A burgeoning economic bubble is being created from these arguments. Books. Seminars. Professional education that does no favours for anyone in poverty and huge favours for people already protected from the worst ravages of economic hardship.

And yes... I would also suggest increasing the BIPOC population and think that's a great aim for humanity. I think more mixed race people will do the world good and globalisation will improve things. I think it's also fair to say that mixed race people tend to emerge in more left leaning liberal countries. So you see the problem?

By all means attempt to tear down the Empire of White Supremacy and the vestige of every colonnial power - but I think you'd better be sure a) what's going to replace it, becuase there's no hegemony or friendliness amongst niche interest groups and b) whether that will lead to an out and out race war with the right wing.

In short, the world was getting less racist and more inclusive - right up until everyone started shouting at everyone else about being racist and non-inclusive - now we're moving backwards.
