Nobody has to be nice to anyone. You can’t mandate niceness. If you want to stop being nice to white people then go ahead, because there are very likely white people who will never be nice to you. There are out and out dickheads in the world.

But… if that’s your choice and you enact it, don’t be surprised if white folks who are genuinely nice people think you’re a dick. Don’t then try to paint their pained expressions as racism when it’s simply the cost of being in a room with a rambunctious bellend. You can’t have it both ways.

I think behaviour is a much better indicator than skin colour for who people are. Always better to concentrate on what people do rather than what they say or what they look like.
