Normally I'd agree with you - but on this one I don't. I moved from improv comedy into trying Stand up. In improv comedy, everyone wants you to succeed because they often have a stake in your success... in Stand up comedy (at least in the early stages of a career) everyone wants you to fail from the get-go, or at least will give you NO leeway. That's a whole lot tougher and improv made me think I could coast it - and I could (ish) but only if someone was stupid enough to heckle me. Then I could use my improv skills. I stick to writing now - much safer. :o/
