Not at all. I’m a pretty chill kinda person most of the time – as I’d hope this article demonstrates. Nobody has anything at all figured out and everyone is doing their best to find a place in the complex space that is society.
I’m not going to confirm or deny what you think. That’s the point here. You might be right, you might be wrong. The question is why does it matter? If you firmly believe I’m a White guy who thinks he has all his stuff figured out, does that mean you can instantly discount what I say?
What does that say about your world view? What does that say about your psychology? Isn’t that about the negative heuristics running in your brain concluding white people’s views have no value – and doing so before you’ve read them? Isn’t this the same behaviour racists apply to BIPOC all the time? Where does a society go from groups of people refusing to listen to each other at all?
In your case I’d recommend Steve QJ. We make a lot of the same points but he isn’t a penguin, he’s black.
