Not at all. You should agree with Steve because he’s right, not because he’s black. His skin colour is of zero consequence to me – only his intelligent insight. However, there are certain people who make skin colour the defining factor about whether someone is worth listening to or not. Racists and the woke. People who don’t want to listen to me because they don’t get access to my identity are the sort of people who wouldn’t feel it proper to question Steve. Something both he and I are opposed to – engage with what we write, not who we are to write it.
