Not convinced that Communism is the conclusion of Marxism rather a bastardised offshoot - Marxism is an amoral description of an economic model - it says what the likely outcome of unfettered capitalism is, it doesn't make much of a moral judgment about it. Marx was more interested in the science of economics not the ethical considerations

Capitalism has a statement of morality, it believes having money is an inherent good - a belief so ingrained it ceases to be considered a belief at all. Given that money is itself a conceptual idea rather than a reality, the belief the little bits of paper (or numbers on a screen) have value is doubly important.

Like you, I agee the Nordic model is likely best. Capitalism has made a world without money unthinkable, but that doesn't mean that the money cannot be distributed more evenly and fairly. It also doesn't mean that capitalism can't be harnessed as an economic force for good. Capitalism done right would avoid the need for the bastardisation of Marxism into the gun pointing of Communism.
