Not too late. I wrote under a variation of my real name for at least a year on this site. A determined person could find out who I really am fairly easily (some have) - but most don't bother. It's too much effort. That's really all you need, an effort barrier to hold the weirdos at bay.

I don't enjoy having an online presence and I don't trust other people to have good faith debates about issues they feel strongly about - so I became the Argumentative Penguin at about 1.2K followers back in May 2020. It's done me no harm whatsoever. I recommend you become TabDi - it sounds adorkable and people who already know you will remain connected while potential stalkers fall at the short effort wall.
