Occasionally my social circle will bring me into contact with a teacher. Sometimes, after meeting them for a while I think.... how? I'm sure many teachers are excellent people who can formulate and hold complicated ideas about the world - and some of them are meandering fuckwits with whom we entrust our children's minds - simply because they showed an ability to parrot a curriculum without falling over.
