Okay. We can't agree to disagree. What now? Your move.

There will be people who have a list like yours, equal and opposite, convinced of its truth, who won't agree to disagree either. So what happens then? How do you expect democracy to function without intelligent people agreeing to disagree on some issues, but finding consensus on others?

Throwing your ideological toys out of the pram because everyone fails to agree with your world view isn't a mature response to the world. Sure, you might get a lot of 'preach!' and 'yeah!' responses from other people who share your view - but it drives the conversation nowhere new. You're doing childish handbrake turns in the parking lot of your own echo chamber.

Agreeing to disagree IS the fundament of what a democracy is at its heart.
